McLaren Unveils Revolutionary Electric Bike Series: Experience Unmatched Performance with the New Hyperbike Range

McLaren Automotive, celebrated for its groundbreaking supercars like the McLaren P1, launched its first series of electric bikes, marking a new chapter in electric hyperbikes. Drawing from their acclaimed supercar technology, this exclusive, limited-edition electric bike collection showcases McLaren's leap into the electric bike sector.

Crafted by the innovative teams behind the McLaren Artura hybrid supercar, these inaugural e-bikes exemplify McLaren's commitment to cutting-edge technology and high performance. They feature lightweight carbon-fibre construction and advanced electrification. Each bike in the range embodies McLaren's dedication to superior power-to-weight ratios—a hallmark of their supercars—ensuring unmatched performance.

The e-bikes boast a robust motor and industry-leading torque, setting new standards in the premium e-bike market. With an integrated colour LCD panel on the handlebars, the bikes offer a user-friendly interface. The panel displays vital telemetry data such as speed, battery status, and remaining range, enhancing rider engagement.

The lineup includes four models—Extreme 600, Extreme 250, Sport 600, and Sport 250—tailored for ultimate performance across various terrains, from urban streets to rugged mountain trails.

The flagship McLaren 600 models compete for the world's most potent street-legal electric mountain bike title. They feature a Race mode that unleashes up to 852W of peak power and 20mph/32kph speeds.

The series offers limited edition electric mountain bike variants: a 29” hardtail and a full-suspension version, equipped with a 29” front wheel, 27.5” rear wheel, 145mm rear travel, and 160mm fork travel. Both Extreme and Sport versions employ cutting-edge drivetrains, with the Extreme models featuring an SRAM wireless XX Eagle Transmission 12-speed and the Sport models equipped with a mechanical SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed.

The McLaren Sport model is the ultimate all-rounder mountain bike, ideal for challenging single tracks and leisurely off-road adventures. It boasts a sleek frame and integrated components for a distinctly McLaren look.

Like McLaren supercars, the e-bikes offer multiple power modes for tailored riding experiences. These modes are accessible via the digital display on the integrated cockpit and range from no assist to maximum power output for demanding trails.

The McLaren Extreme, a full-suspension electric mountain bike, is engineered for top-tier off-road performance, offering enhanced control and comfort across all terrains, and is equipped similarly in power modes to the McLaren Sport, with both models featuring high-quality Pirelli tyres for optimal traction.
