Revolutionise Your Drive: Discover Bugatti Tourbillon's Unparalleled Elegance and Power

In 2004, Bugatti redefined automotive luxury and performance by launching the Veyron, a hyper sports car with a groundbreaking 1,001 hp. This trailblazer paved the way for the 2015 Chiron, the world’s first 1,800 hp car, setting new performance benchmarks. At their core, both cars featured the most advanced engine of their times, the 8.0-liter Quad-turbo W16. Fast-forward to today, and Bugatti continues to innovate with the new Tourbillon model, equipped with a revolutionary powertrain and platform, marking a new era for hyper sports cars.

Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti, emphasises that the Tourbillon's development was deeply influenced by Bugatti's storied 115-year history and Ettore Bugatti's visionary philosophies. He stated that the principles "if comparable it is no longer Bugatti" and "nothing is too beautiful" steered the design and engineering teams as they crafted a car that surpasses all predecessors in elegance, emotion, and luxury—truly incomparable.

Drawing inspiration from iconic models such as the Type 57SC Atlantic, the Type 35, and the Type 41 Royale, the Tourbillon is a confluence of beauty, performance, and luxury, setting a new standard. The Tourbillon is the first Bugatti in over two decades to forgo the traditional W16 engine. Instead, it embraces a name that reflects its character and nods to Bugatti's French roots—the Tourbillon, a symbol of supreme craftsmanship in watchmaking that continues to be revered for its complexity and beauty.

The Tourbillon is designed to be timeless, eschewing modern digital displays for classic analog instruments made by Swiss watchmakers, ensuring it remains relevant on concours lawns for centuries. Its design is a testament to speed, with every element crafted to optimize aerodynamics and thermodynamics for speeds exceeding 400 km/h.

Bugatti’s Director of Design, Frank Heyl, notes that the car’s aesthetics continue the legacy of functional, breathtaking design established by Ettore and Jean Bugatti. The new dual-tone paintwork and the evolved Bugatti Line enhance its dynamic stance, echoing the brand’s rich design heritage.

Underneath its stunning exterior, the Tourbillon boasts a pioneering powertrain that combines a naturally aspirated V16 engine with a sophisticated electric system, producing a combined 1,800 hp. This blend of classic combustion and cutting-edge electric technology offers a driving experience that is both powerful and refined, meeting the highest standards of performance and sustainability.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti, asserts that the Tourbillon embodies unparalleled authenticity and craftsmanship. Each component, visible or not, is designed to be a work of art, contributing to a vehicle that is the most powerful Bugatti ever built and a masterpiece of engineering and aesthetics.

As Bugatti prepares the Tourbillon for market launch, with customer deliveries expected in 2026, the hyper sports car is poised to become a symbol of automotive excellence and a beacon of timeless design and unmatched performance.
