Rodin Cars Unleashes FZERO Prototype: Dominates Track Debut with Electrifying Performance

The Rodin Cars FZERO hypercar recently roared onto the tracks of the serene South Island of New Zealand, showcasing its powerful engine and advanced design. Unveiled to the world last year, this New Zealand-manufactured marvel has entered the crucial test and development phase.

As the FZERO debuted on the track, it marks a significant milestone for Rodin Cars and their ambitious project. Led by technology billionaire and racing enthusiast David Dicker, the FZERO represents a leap forward from their previous achievement, the FZED open-wheel track car.

Designed and developed at Rodin Cars' cutting-edge facility near Mount Lyford, the FZERO boasts a bespoke twin-turbocharged V10 engine, the RC.TEN, also crafted by David Dicker. Mr. Dicker took the wheel for the car's maiden voyage, expressing pride in the team's accomplishment.

Following initial laps, the FZERO underwent thorough checks before returning to the track for extensive testing, marking the beginning of its journey towards perfection. During a break, the Rodin Cars team witnessed the hypercar's performance, which General Manager Emma Duncan described as inspirational.

With its closed-cockpit design and promise of exceptional performance, the FZERO aims to rival established track-only hypercars. It delivers an unparalleled driving experience and is powered by the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V10 RC. The TEN engine, engineered by David Dicker, the FZERO, is set to reach 360km/h.

Excitingly, Rodin Cars has brought the RC.TEN engine development in-house and plans to offer it as a crate motor for motorsport applications. Teaming up with LINK Engine Management, the RC.TEN will be showcased at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis, showcasing the culmination of Rodin Cars' relentless pursuit of automotive excellence.
